A FEW FIRST STEPS
1. determine the type of party (formal, special occasion, holiday, etc.)
2. decide if you want drinks, finger foods, buffet, full meal, or other
3. choose a party theme
4. decide how many guests you would like to invite
5. set a date, time, and place for your party
6. determine a date by when guests must RSVP
7. book your location and pay any deposit
8. make a shopping list -- including small items like napkins and candles
9. make lists of tasks that can be done in advance and those for party day
WHEN THE BIG DAY ARRIVES
1. finalize the decorations and place settings
2. instruct any hired and volunteer helpers
3. relax and enjoy yourself!
